Designed to reflect the elegance of Mediterranean grand villas, the Conservatory Senior Living at Alden Bridge celebrates the classic Italianate century-old buildings that dot the Italian Riviera. Other elements will include rich brick, masonry, warm Sienna color palettes, stones, and arcades of slender columns carrying arches. Balconies, rotundas, bay windows and cornices will add to the visual impact. Marking the entrance to the community, residents and visitors are swept through a grand entryway, finished with brick paving stones. The principal drive opens to a turn-around featuring a large fountain, reminiscent of Italian piazzas. Beyond the turnaround, the drive leads to a porte cochère. Inside the 32,691 square-foot community center, residents enjoy a multi-purpose game room, crafts center, beauty/barber shop, brain fitness center, a well-appointed library, a fitness/therapy center, a 40-seat movie theatre, a dining hall, a bistro and lounge area. The 237-unit luxury independent senior community uses some of the common building elements that define Mediterranean architecture such as stone, terra-cotta tile, and arches to reflect the grace and elegance of the architectural style.
