The site plan was carefully studied and designed to ensure building alignment, tree preservation and the natural flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Covered parking, surface parking and private garages were incorporated into the planning formula. The buildings’ design invigorates the community with various entries and balconies, combined with pedestrian-only walk-throughs.

To reinforce the Craftsman style, each apartment building incorporates various porch pillars that broaden at the base to break up the linear space along the building elevations. Brackets under the roof underscore the period look as do bands of windows and other wood details in patio and balcony railings.

Outside, a covered veranda offers resort-style pool-side seating, an outdoor kitchen, a gas fire pit and entertainment areas. A smaller pool is located toward the back of the community.

With 29 floor plans to choose from, The Dakota offers one- two- and three-bedroom apartment homes that range from 709 to 1,439 square feet. The community also provides two-bedroom and 2.5-bath townhomes that range in size from 1,382 to 1,407 square feet.
