With an extensive knowledge and expertise in building codes, Fair Housing and ADA requirements, Jon provides an understanding of and ability to educate the firm’s professionals and clients on interpreting these guidelines for a particular situation, design guidance, and how it interfaces with other design standards in multifamily applications.

As a Vice President of Production, Jon brings a diverse portfolio of both private sector and governmental work including residential and commercial buildings. Supervising the execution of multifaceted projects, Jon focuses on managing highly qualified team members to ensure that all services are accomplished within the client’s established schedule and budget. He extends his proficient management approach to client representatives, construction managers, general contractors and special consultants and others who contribute to the successful completion of the project.

A partner in the firm, Jon Préjean first joined M+P in 1983, where he served as Production Manager. In 1986, he relocated to Atlanta. In 1995, Jon rejoined Meeks + Partners, opening an office in Atlanta and oversaw the day-to-day operations. In 1998, Jon returned to the headquarters in Houston and became a principal.

He brings to the firm substantive experience with the Corps of Engineers at military bases throughout the U.S. on projects such as post offices, educational, aircraft facilities and historic restoration/renovation. A graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Jon is a Registered Architect and a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
