A principal in the firm since 1978, Don Meeks is a leader with great vision and energy. He serves as Chief Executive Officer, as well as head of design services, directing the activities of M+P’s talented design staff. Don has created much of the work that has brought international prominence to the firm.
Under his guidance, the planning and design process begins with a thorough analysis of a developer’s site by ensuring that projects meet the requirements, environmental constraints and the property’s position in the market place. Don’s love of architecture is reflected in his commitment to the firm’s clients and employees. Each design provides a livable environment that creates a sense of quality and anchors the community in the urban landscape.
Don Meeks is a graduate of Iowa State University and the University of Houston. In 1997 he was honored with the Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award for Design from the University of Houston’s Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), Urban Land Institute (ULI), National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB), NAHB Multifamily Council, NAHB Seniors Housing Council, National Apartment Association (NAA) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
